The Nigerian Ambassador to Portugal, Amb Alex Kefas, joined his counterparts worldwide to mark this year’s International Women’s Day in the Nigerian Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal.
Kefas offered lunch and presented flowers to hard working, highly dedicated women in the mission.
This year’s celebration was to appreciate the female officers and staff of the mission, he said.
Women’s contribution to their families and the world at large is worth celebrating, he added.
Kefas, a career diplomat, said: “Today, I am very proud of my women officers and staff.
“We should honour and appreciate our women worldwide. I wish them a happy anniversary and a great celebration.”
He urged all to appreciate women for their immense contributions globally.
